As a private foundation, the KBZO Foundation operates a large number of facilities for people with physical disabilities and multiple disabilities. The fields of activity include a special education and counseling center (SBBZ) with a boarding school and a wide variety of school types in Weingarten, a primary school in Biberach, Sigmaringen and Friedrichshafen as well as school kindergartens in Weingarten, Biberach and Sigmaringen and at numerous other locations in the four districts of the region Lake Constance – Upper Swabia.
In addition, there are housing offers for adults with disabilities with residential accommodations and outpatient assisted living, open help with family relief services, leisure and holiday offers as well as short-term care offers.
At the KBZO Foundation, more than 1,500 people with disabilities are currently cared, schooled, trained, supported and accompanied across all locations. More than 900 employees from a wide range of disciplines work for this, who are supported by the helpers in the voluntary social year, in the federal voluntary service, in internships or in voluntary work.
The KBZO Foundation is thus one of the largest institutions for people with physical and multiple disabilities in Baden-Württemberg and the Federal Republic of Germany.
With the donated money, the elementary school in Biberach will have the opportunity to visit a nearby climbing park at regular intervals over a longer period of time. This enables the elementary school in Biberach to gain extracurricular experience and to learn about pedagogical and social values. In addition, the children can experience adventure risks and learn to take responsibility. The elementary school in Biberach would like to thank the Fischbach+Miller company for opening up these opportunities with their generous donation.
